!1: Best Buy I bought this one year ago for my kids. Hesitated due to some complaints about light bulbs burning out, but so far I have not had that problem. The light does not get played with, rather just sits up on a high shelf for me to turn on. Perhaps that has helped. Our turtle light is turned on once a night EVERY night, and sometimes twice a night (you know how it is when they won't go right to sleep). The lights will start to dim toward the end of the battery life. And yes, the type of battery matters for some reason seems to matter with this product. Nice brand new standard energizer lasted under a month (twice), where cheap rayovac gives me about 4-5 months. Who knows.

Colors: Blue and green are the brightest and easiest to see on the wall, it actually lights up the room. The amber (orange) color is much more dim. If you place this in the corner of the room though, you can see the amber stars just fine.

Constellation: This product talks about identifying a constellation on the wall with your kids. Honestly, it's really just throws stars everywhere. They seem to be pretty evenly spaced. If you are primarily buying this as a teaching tool, you will be greatly disappointed. Just go outside and look up to learn, and use this to help your little one or YOU drift off to sleep :) on Sale!

!1: Best Buy I have nothing bad to say about the turtle, both my children age 7 (boy) and 11 (girl) absolutely LOVE this turtle! When their friends see it at night they want one too! It works great from normal bed height, and it doesn't need to be in the center of the room. My daughter even puts it on the floor and the effect is really cool. But you can buy the turtle without the CD for - right here on Amazon, so the CD is costing you at least . I just thought it was really funny that they advertised it as "FREE!" Well, it's not really funny at all, it's very deceptive...

Anyway, like I said, the turtle, I am very sure, will make a great gift for any child, maybe even teen - I love it myself and have found myself laying in the bed with the kids looking up at the stars with them and falling asleep many times! If the CD really interests you, go for it. If not, you can get the turtle much cheaper if you research a bit more on Amazon. =D on Sale!

!1: Best Buy I think I already reviewed this, but my review is no longer showing up. We got this for my 4 yr old for Christmas. It is a nice lamp, and he really likes it. It is easy enough for him to do himself. My one complaint is that I was expecting a setting for being able to rotate the animals on the ceiling as another option with the light up function. Unfortunately, this does not appear to be possible. In fact, as far as I can tell, you can only really use the animals as something you can look at on the turtle itself, because it is hard to get them to show up anywhere but on a wall.

I am still happy with the item, as it does provide some comfort for my "problem sleeper." This lamp, along with another we purchased at Christmas-time, have definitely helped him sleep in his room alone without calling out for mommy or daddy, which is what we were going for. on Sale!

!1: Best Buy I would give this 4 1/2 stars because it could use one improvement, but it really is spectacular enough to round up! The only slight is that the amber stars are not bright enough to show up well. The blue and green stars are large and clear wherever you place your turtle - right on the bed or on a dresser. Great for toddlers that are afraid of the dark, like my nearly 3-year-old son. The cd that came with ours (Baby Love Quiet Time) has a beautiful rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" on it. I just ordered another for a baby shower present. Even my eleven-year-old thinks it's pretty cool. on Sale!

The color of the nightlight and star projection can be changed which adds a bit of variety. Although it was purchased as a sleep aid for for our 18 month old, our 4 year old enjoys it also. It could be used with a wide age range, especially if the child has or is developing an interest in astronomy. ±1±: Best Buy These little creatures were the answer to all my prayers, my boys are now sleeping through the whole night and peacefully snuggle up to their turtle and ladybug, feeling more secure that they each have their own personal night light. We love how they soft light the room and each color creates a different mood and they're educational too, we're starting to look for the different stars, which my oldest son (who's 3 and gifted) loves. ±1±: Best Buy I bought this for my almost 2 year old daughter. We recently moved into a new house and she was having some trouble falling asleep at night. Our new place is much quieter and darker than the old apartment. Enter the Twilight Lady Bug! She LOVES to fall asleep looking at the stars and will change the colors and turn it on and off. It makes her feel secure to know she has a light she can control. Her favorite thing to do is "spot the moon" on the ceiling while we are star gazing in her bed. If the moon ends up on the wall she says "oh no!" and turns the bug until the moon is above her bed. The stars look best in a dark room so this doesn't really work for nap time. The three color settings each have their own brightness: blue (brightest), green (middle), red (least bright). When shopping for night lights I was glad I came across this. I have a feeling I will be ordering one for her baby sister soon! on Sale!

±1±: Best Buy The twilight turtle works great!! I've been ranting a raving about it with family and friends since I got it. It's one of those things that you just have to share since it's so great. We bought one for each of our kids rooms. It has really helped our kids sleep better. For a while our 2 year old wasn't letting us turn his light off, which was affecting his sleep, but now he's ok with it since he has his star turtle. I've even snuck it so I can use it after the kids are asleep. Some people have complained about the Amber colored light, but ours works great it's just a little duller then the other colors. It works in large or small rooms. It takes 3-AAA batteries, which it comes with and it has a 45 minute sleep timer so they don't run out too fast. I like that I don't have to plug it in because my son plays with the plugs and plus I can put it anywhere in the room. Obviously the projection covers more of the room if it's in the center. It projects best if it's on a flat surface approximately 5 to 6 feet from the ceiling. The closer the turtle is to the ceiling, the smaller the stars are and less wall space covered by the stars. It's body is like a soft stuffed animal and the shell is a hard plastic. It lights up in 3 colors, Green, Blue & Amber and you can pick which color for it to do. It works best on light colored walls and projects 8 constellations and the moon and it comes with a booklet that shows you what the different constellations are. on Sale!
